Former American educator and artist, J. Russell Nelson served as Chancellor at the University of Colorado Boulder (1978-1981) and as President of Arizona State University (1981-1989). In 1989, the ASU Nelson Fine Arts Center was built in his honor and that of his wife, Bonita.
Following his retirement, Nelson pursued his art passions more vigorously. Shown here are Nelson’s miniature wood turned bowls, spheres and conical.
